Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 8, 2026 · Last updated: June 8, 2026

1. Introduction

uglyGTM LLC ("uglyGTM," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at uglygtm.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Contact: isaac@uglygtm.com · uglyGTM LLC, 12302 W Oneida St., Boise, ID 83709.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Account information — your name, email address, password, and any profile details you add. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) from Google.
  • Content you submit — GTM examples, screenshots, images, descriptions, tags, comments, and other material you upload or post.
  • Communications — messages you send us, including support requests and survey or feedback responses.

Information we collect automatically:

  • Device and log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Usage data — how you interact with the Service, such as searches, saves, clicks, and (through our analytics tools) session interactions like scrolling and navigation.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 3.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of sensitive data, and we do not collect payment information because the Service does not process payments.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure and analyze usage, and deliver relevant advertising. These include strictly necessary cookies, functionality cookies, analytics cookies (for example, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), and advertising/targeting cookies.

We use Ketch to manage cookie consent and your privacy choices. Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your preferences at any time through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our website footer. You can also set your browser to refuse some or all cookies, though parts of the Service may not work as a result. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of sale/sharing where required by law.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account;
  • display, organize, and improve the content library;
  • respond to your requests and provide support;
  • send service and administrative messages, and (with your consent where required) marketing communications you can opt out of;
  • analyze usage to understand, secure, and improve the Service and develop new features;
  • show you relevant advertising, including interest-based advertising on the Service and on other websites and apps;
  • prevent fraud and abuse and maintain the integrity of the Service; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on these legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service); legitimate interests (to secure, analyze, and improve the Service, balanced against your rights); consent (for non-essential cookies, advertising, and marketing, which you may withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (to comply with the law).

6. How we share your information

We share personal information in the following ways:

Service providers (processors) who handle data on our behalf under contract:

  • Hosting / infrastructure — Vercel
  • Analytics and product insight — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (which may record usage and on-page interactions to help us understand and improve the Service)
  • Email and notifications — Resend
  • Sign-in — Google (when you choose "Sign in with Google")
  • Consent and privacy-choice management — Ketch

Advertising and analytics partners. We use cookies and similar technologies from advertising and analytics partners (including Google) to measure usage and to show you relevant, interest-based advertising on the Service and on other websites and apps. To do this, we allow these partners to collect or receive online identifiers, device information, and activity data through your use of the Service.

Legal, safety, and business transfers. We may disclose information when we believe it is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (subject to this Policy).

With your direction or consent — for example, content you choose to make public.

Aggregated or de-identified data — which cannot reasonably identify you.

"Sale" and "sharing" under US state privacy laws. We do not exchange your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising and analytics cookies that share identifiers with third parties for interest-based advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or "targeted advertising," under California and other US state privacy laws. You can opt out — see "Your privacy choices" in Section 9 — and we honor Global Privacy Control signals where required. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain de-identified or aggregated data indefinitely. Content you submit may remain visible after you delete your account if others have interacted with it or we have featured it, as described in our Terms.

8. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your privacy rights and choices

Everyone. You may access or update your account information in your settings, opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link, and request that we delete your account by contacting isaac@uglygtm.com.

Your privacy choices (opt out of targeted advertising and "sale"/"sharing"). To opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, use the "Your Privacy Choices" (also labeled "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information") link in our website footer, which is managed through our consent tool, Ketch. You can also adjust your cookie preferences there, and set your browser to send a Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as a valid opt-out where required.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to;
  • Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. In the past 12 months, we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email, IP address, and online/device identifiers), internet or network activity (usage and interaction data), and the content you submit. We have "shared" or "sold" — as those terms are defined under California law, meaning disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising — identifiers and internet or network activity with advertising and analytics partners. We do not sell or share sensitive personal information. To exercise these rights, contact isaac@uglygtm.com or use the "Your Privacy Choices" link; you may use an authorized agent, and we will verify your request.

EEA / UK (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (including consent to advertising and analytics cookies). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact isaac@uglygtm.com.

Other US states

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal information. Contact isaac@uglygtm.com or use the "Your Privacy Choices" link to exercise them.

10. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and we process and store information there. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

11. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact isaac@uglygtm.com and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice. We review this policy at least once every 12 months.
